UEM Edgenta Berhad (“Company”) wishes to announce that it had on 5 September 2016 acquired one (1) Ordinary Share of SGD1.00 at par representing the entire issued and paid up share capital of Edgenta (Singapore) Pte Ltd (Company No: 201623612M) (“Edgenta Singapore”) for a total cash consideration of SGD1.00 (“Acquisition”) thereby resulting in Edgenta Singapore becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.

Edgenta Singapore was incorporated on 30 August 2016 and its intended principal activity is as an investment holding company.

The Acquisition of Edgenta Singapore will not have any effect on the Company’s issued and paid-up share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings.

There shall be no material effect on the Company’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending 31 December 2016 in regards to the Acquisition.

None of the directors and/or substantial shareholders or persons connected to them have any interest, direct or indirect, in Edgenta Singapore.
