Full Release: Kuala Lumpur, 26 November 2020 – UEM Edgenta Berhad (“UEM Edgenta” or the “Company”), as part of its corporate responsibility efforts to support communities within its business operations impacted by COVID-19, has contributed food relief packs to 700 Asnaf-registered families living in Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur, where the Company’s headquarters is located.
Beyond food relief packs to the recipients, the Company also leveraged on its expertise in facilities management services by providing sanitisation and disinfection works at 6 mosques and suraus in the area, namely, Masjid Ar-Rahah, Masjid Al-Ikhlasiah, Masjid Jamek al-Khadijiah, Masjid Ar-Rahman, Surau An-Nur Hidayah and Surau Al-Makmur Sri Pantai. Additionally, UEM Edgenta also supplied face masks and hand sanitisers to the respective mosques and suraus’ management to ensure adequate supply of these essential items.
“All stakeholders in the Pantai Dalam area share a key role in sustaining the strength of our community, and more so, the families living here who continue with their daily activities from home or at the workplace. For decades, the Pantai Dalam community has been an important pillar contributing to the Klang Valley’s social and economic ecosystem, and we hope our assistance will be able to ease some of the burdens faced by the families and the general community during this challenging period,” said Razman Ismail, Chief People Officer of UEM Edgenta, who represented the Company during the handover ceremony at Masjid Ar-Rahah earlier today.
