UEM Edgenta is committed to the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity and ethical behaviour in the conduct of its business and operations. Therefore, it is important that we are aware of all compliance violations, especially those that are against the law or violate our Business Principles.
UEM Edgenta's Whistleblowing Policy provides all our employees and members of the public with a secure mechanism for reporting suspected compliance violations. Anyone who has knowledge or aware of any improper conduct(s) committed or about to be committed within UEM Edgenta is encouraged to report such matters, in good faith without fear of reprisal.

Please be assured that your ethical concerns will be investigated according to established procedures. Your support will help us to live up to our aspirations of being responsible employees and members of the public.
Protection for Whistleblowers
  1. All Company stakeholders including directors, officers, and employees of UEM Edgenta as well as members of the public are eligible to make Protected Disclosures under the Policy. No unfair treatment will be meted out to a Whistleblower by virtue of his/her submission of a Protected Disclosure under this policy.
  2. UEM Edgenta, as a policy, condemns any kind of discrimination, harassment, victimisation or any other unfair employment practices towards a Whistleblower.
  3. Complete protection will be given to a Whistleblower against any unfair practices such as retaliation, threats or intimidation of termination/suspension of service, disciplinary action, transfer, demotion, refusal of promotion, or the likes, including any direct or indirect use of authority to obstruct the Whistleblower’s right to continue to perform his/her duties, including making further Protected Disclosure.
  4. If a Whistleblower can provide proof that he/she has been subjected to retribution, victimisation, or detriment due to submission of a Protected Disclosure under this policy, disciplinary action will be taken against the perpetrator.
  5. If a Whistleblower is required to give evidence in criminal or disciplinary proceedings, the Company will arrange for the Whistleblower to receive advice regarding the procedures.
  6. Any other employee or member of the public assisting in the said investigation shall also be subjected to protection of the same degree as the Whistleblower.
  7. Disclosures should be made in good faith. Such protection is accorded even if the investigation later reveals that the Whistleblower has been mistaken in accordance with the facts, rules and procedures involved.

The Whistleblowing Committee comprises the Chairman of the Board of Governance & Risk Committee, Head of Risk, Integrity & Compliance, Head of Secretarial, Head of Internal Audit and Head of Legal.
